BIOSTAR Microtech Int'l Corp based on Taiwan, a worldwide well-known professional mainboard and VGA card brand in the world, was awarded “Top 20 Taiwan Global Brand”. This is the first time that BIOSTAR has been selected as one of Taiwan’s Top 20 Global Brands. The award not only recognizes BIOSTAR for its long-term exertion, but also demonstrates the result of positioning itself in the global market as well as the strong ambition in building up BIOSTAR becoming the global brand.

Hosted by the Bureau of International Trade under the guidance of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the “Taiwan Global Brand Value Survey” was conducted by Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and Interbrand Corporation for a straight sixth year since 2003. The survey evaluates all Taiwan brands based on financial analysis like BusinessWeek magazine in America, the role of branding, brand strength, and brand net value to generate a list of top 20 Taiwan's enterprises with the highest brand value of the year. The brand values are based on data collected during the 12 months prior to June 30, 2008. According to TAITRA, Taiwan's top 20 brands were worth US$9.14 billion, exceeding the US$9-billion mark for the first time.
